Project Description
The gripping renovation of Stadsgehoorzaal Kampen took a total of 10 years (without closing the doors to the public) and took place in four successive phases: large theatre hall with stage house, small theatre hall (Vestzaktheater), offices, foyers and; the backstage for technology and artists; the front house with public entrance, a third foyer and corridors and rooms around the theatre halls.
In order to be able to use a large attic floor for storage and make the stage of the small theatre hall more accessible for theatre equipment, a freight elevator with wooden elevator shaft was inserted. The Stadsgehoorzaal is a national monument.
