Project Description

The Agora Theater, new construction of a theatre: a large auditorium with stage tower (19 meters high), a small auditorium, cinema and conference centre in the centre of Lelystad. Our advice

  • Design and realisation of acoustics and theatre technology (including 38 pull-bars for the large auditorium and 5 pull-bars for the small auditorium).
  • Testing building physics and fire safety on behalf of the client.
  • Drawing up the Program of Requirements for the theatre technology and acoustics
  • Design and realisation of the complete theatre technical installations, including theatre curtains and fabrics and audience seating.
  • Answering questions and providing direction to the designing and implementing parties, users + suppliers
  • Reviewing architectural and installation design for the benefit of the theatre.
  • Infusing high functionality into a distinctive architectural design on a modest building lot, within budget.

Replacement controls of theatrical fly system (years after new building opens).

For the replacement of the control system of Theater Agora, we have carried out the technical theatre consultancy work, with the aim that the renewed installation meets both the current user requirements and “the state of the art”, as formulated in the applicable regulations or prescriptions.
