Project Description

PBTA regularly returns to Naaldwijk for modifications that keep the theatre future-proof. PBTA optimised the seating plan in the Large Hall and the Small Hall, with a greatly improved auditorium stage in the Large Hall (also), and a telescopic grandstand in the Small Hall where, according to the needs of the user, a choice can be made between a stand cinema or a stand theatre. Many years earlier, guided by PBTA, the hand-operated theatrical fly system was replaced by a computer-controlled electromechanical pull, the controls of which were recently replaced. Recently, too, the feasibility of maintaining the existing theatre, with or without expanding it with a larger theatre auditorium and an additional (fourth) cinema auditorium, was examined. In the process, the feasibility of complete new construction was also examined and budgeted for.
