MFA Heart of Hapert

The Bladel municipality opened the new multifunctional accommodation (MFA) Hart van Hapert in 2023. The design also includes the redevelopment of the St. Severinus Church and its parsonage and integrates the adjacent indoor sports facility. The MFA is a large complex with an enormous diversity of functions, aimed at meeting and collaborating. The centrally located foyer is the living room of the village of Hapert.

The MFA houses two universally usable, large meeting rooms with a theater and music stage, which are available to the associations and are intended for commercial rentals, a library, a regional radio and television broadcasting studio, various creativity spaces such as a studio and a dance studio, the senior citizens’ support center, the church parish, a school for primary education, a daycare center with out-of-school care and the sports hall Eureka Hapert.

PBTA first realized the preliminary and final design for the Podiumzaal and the Kerkzaal, focusing on the spatial-functional design and the (variable) acoustic properties of the spaces and their stage design. In the subsequent technical design phase, work specifications were formulated on behalf of:

• electromechanical lifting devices
• projection, lighting and sound equipment
• an electronic system for variable acoustics
• stage upholstery (theater curtains, dance vinyl)
• a retractable seating platform in the Church Hall, and
• a narrowcasting system with about 40 large and small screens.

PBTA supervised the procurement, realization and delivery and commissioning of the technical equipment.
