approximately 2,500 m2 GFA
Project Description
New construction of a live music venue in Hilversum. De Vorstin is the successor to pop venue De Tagrijn.
As open as the café is, so closed is the large auditorium, which is spring-loaded onto the stage café with a steel structure like a box within a box. This is because each space had to be acoustically decoupled from the adjacent space. Furthermore, the large hall was placed on about six vibration isolators to provide this acoustic decoupling.
Halls
Pop stage / large hall (850 visitors).
Music cafe/small hall (250 visitors) and music practice and rehearsal rooms.
Our advice
- Performing consulting work in the areas of building physics,
building acoustics, room acoustics, sound emission to the environment, fire safety,
installation concepts and theater technology. - Working in team with project manager, architect, structural engineer and building systems
to prepare the Schedule of Requirements, sketch design through specifications and to provide
execution supervision during construction. - Performing completion measurements after realisation of construction delivery.
Result
De Vorstin is a home for a dynamic pop culture in which young and old, amateurs and professionals and -as is normal in Hilversum- old and new media come together.
